In March of 2019, Superintendent Steve Cochrane created a panel of school board members, parents and experts to advise and inform him on all things food, from edible school gardens to food forests to water flow to curricular connections to school meals to sustainable procurement.
Covid derailed progress; but for the 204-’25 school year, the Kitchen Cabinet is being reconstituted. Membership is open to interested faculty, staff, administrators, parents, and community organization members who work in related fields.
